Dive into your imagination!

Take it from Canyon and Presley, “the ocean is fun!.” At only 4 and 6 years old Canyon and Presley already know the importance of our ocean. Dive Into Your Imagination talked with really cool parents Ron & Trish as they take their scuba refresher course and teach their kids about the water. Ron learned to dive for their honeymoon and this was their first time together underwater since!

Canyon and Presley had never used fins, mask and snorkel together. At first, the pair seemed to be a bit timid about trying to learn how to use a snorkel and mask in the pool, but after a little coaching from Ocean Annie they were ready to go. The transformation was amazing! Within a few minutes of being in the water Canyon and Presley were able to put on there own masks and snorkels and swim all the way across the pool and even dive down to touch the bottom. They LOVED it and they loved seeing their parents blowing bubbles!

This was a great opportunity for the whole family. Often parents take their kids to swim lessons, but they do not take the time to enjoy in water experiences together. Mom and Dad refreshed their scuba skills while Canyon and Presley learned how to snorkel! Canyon and Presley also got a first hand look at how scuba gear works and see their parents scuba diving, so mom and dad now have the cool status! They were so excited it was hard to get them out of the pool. I know two future scuba divers were born today!

So what are you waiting for? Get your children to love the water at the earliest age possible. Children are our future, we want them to go through life with confidence and a spirit of exploration. Maybe one day you can see your kids scuba diving!  Dive Into Your Imagination wants children everywhere to have a healthy understanding of the importance of our Ocean, all of the water we need comes from our Ocean!
