The Dive Into Your Imagination Series wins the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award 2009

(Santa Barbara, CA- October 1, 2009) Dive Into Your Imagination has received the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award for the Dive Into Your Imagination series.  After being kid-tested across the country, a panel of experts decided that our DVDs had great educational and play value.

The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award 2009 is different because “unlike most other groups that rate products, [they] do not charge entry fees or accept ads from manufacturers. When consumers see [their] award seals on products, they can be assured that they are ‘award-winning’ because they were selected by a noted expert in child development, children's literature, and education, and further tested by the most objective panel of judges-kids.”

The Dive Into Your Imagination series was awarded the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award 2009.  Products that receive this award are “the most innovative, engaging new products of the year.”  Here is what they had to say about each:

What Makes a Fish a Fish: “One of three stunning underwater videos. This includes hide and seek of the coral reef, how fishes get clean, close up looks at a variety of Frogfish, and among others a section on sharks that kids will gasp over! The film footage is striking! Informative and entertaining, this is broken into "chapters" so it need not be watched in its entirety in one sitting. Done with English and Spanish tracks this is a good choice for 5-10 and their adults.”

Who Lives in the Sea: “One of three stunning underwater videos. This one opens by comparing kids learning to swim underwater with the many forms of life in the sea. The film of the inhabitants of the sea is striking! Informative and entertaining, this is broken into “chapters” so it need not be watched in its entirety in one sitting. We especially enjoyed the images of those scavengers the nudi, nudi, nudibranchs and the eight armed animals and how they use their tentacles to feed! Done with English and Spanish tracks this is a good choice for 5-10 and their adults.”

Dive Into Diversity: “One of three stunning underwater videos.  This takes kids on a ride to a depth of 1500 feet in the deep sea with a submarine pilot! Find out what happens on the reef at NIGHT. Learn what eating ice cream and brushing your teeth have in common. Why do crabs have claws? What can grow three feet in just one day? Informative and entertaining, this is broken into “chapters” so it need not be watched in its entirety in one sitting.  Done with English and Spanish tracks this is a good choice for 5-10 and their adults.”

Annie Crawley created the Dive Into Your Imagination series to entertain and educate youth.  The goal of these books and movies is to change the way a new generation views the ocean.
