Call Out to All Scuba Divers –Dive into Dive & Travel Expo

Northwest Dive and Travel Expo on tap for April 24-26, 2009

Tacoma, WA March 3, 2009 – It’s expected to be the dive event of the year. The Northwest Dive & Travel Expo is on schedule for April 24-26, 2009. This year’s event will focus on everything wet and wild! We will show people how fun it is to breathe underwater, treat them to informational seminars, and show them fantastic destinations around the world and right here at home. Adventure and fun are the watch words for this dive-tacular weekend.

The Dive and Travel Expo kicks off with the traditional Treasure Hunt where prizes abound as divers plunge in at Owen Beach in Tacoma. What’s up for grabs…thousands of dollars in exotic trips, local charters, drysuits, wetsuits, regulators, computers and more. Is photography your barrel of fish? If so, we want to see those shots. The Northwest Dive & Travel Expo is hosting a photography contest featuring amateur photography. Winners will be announced at Dive & Travel Expo.

Everyone enjoys meeting famous people and this year the Dive & Travel Expo has a couple of those too. Diving Celebrities John Chatterton and Jeff Bozanic will be on hand to dazzle visitors with their stories and answer the toughest of questions about diving based on their experiences. Chatterton is one of the world’s most accomplished and well known wreck divers. He is also the co-host for the Discovery Channel’s Deep Sea Detective Series. Bozanic is a rebreather expert and author.

Have you always want to try diving but were apprehensive? Dive right in and test it out with the free demo pool. Visitors will get a free lesson from scuba professionals in a large indoor heated pool. All equipment including suits will be provided.

The 2009 Dive & Travel Expo literally will have something to wet the appetite of everyone. Come out and enjoy the Dive & Travel Expo and see what all the fuss is about. Sporting over 250 booths, films, 40 seminars and contests, this is not to place to be if you want to be bored.
