Filmmaker and educator encourages children to dive into their imagination
Annie Crawley’s job is a long way away from the Chicago neighborhood she grew up in, but it is her passion to bring her work home to kids back home and around the world. Thanks to a finishing grant from Save Our Seas Foundation, she has been able to do just that!

The series, Dive Into Your Imagination®. a trilogy of DVDs to entertain and educate children and their parents about the amazing natural world in the ocean has been completed. The DVDs are all bilingual and the viewer can choose English or Spanish narration or a special track featuring the original score, composed by Craig Dobbin. In the special features section you can view the entire script and read to your children or have your children read to you! The DVD also features, The Ocean Song, a music video written by Annie, composed by Craig and available as a free download on the internet! We want children everywhere to sing Dive Into Your Imagination with me!
What Makes A Fish A Fish is the first in the series. It teaches children about astounding fish from around the world. How do fish take a bath? Learn the truth about sharks! Play hide and seek on the reef. The underwater realm provides boundless opportunities for parents to learn and laugh with their children. An upbeat original score celebrates the ocean and brings it to life.
Who Lives In The Sea entertains and educates children and their parents about a variety of marine animals living in the ocean. What kind of noise does a sea lion make? Why do dolphins move so fast? And which marine reptile walked with the dinosaurs? You will learn about marine birds, octopus, and creatures you would not believe existed! This DVD includes a special feature for adults: “Helping Your Kids Love The Water!”
Dive Into Diversity Teaches children about all the variety of life under the sea and how animals rely upon one antother for survival. Take a ride to a depth of 1500 feet in the deep sea with a submarine pilot! Find out what happens on the reef at NIGHT. Learn what eating ice cream and brushing your teeth have in common. Why do crabs have claws? What can grow three feet in just one day?
This goal of this series of DVD’s leaves kids wanting to dive into their imagination while exploring the real world beneath the sea! Parents, teachers, and grandparents love the series because of the educational value, that they are bilingual in English and Spanish and entertain kids again and again.
Annie Crawley has promoted this series of DVDs. It is playing at world renowned institutions such as The Shedd Aquarium, Baltimore, Seattle, and New England Aquariums in the United States.
