Annie Crawley Bio

While creating a successful business, Dive Into Your Imagination, Annie Crawley, aka Ocean Annie, continues to travel and document the world focusing on life in our Ocean. She is uniquely qualified to speak about obtaining success by taking risks, living your dreams and creating your greatest life. Originally from Chicago and trained as a photo and broadcast journalist, Annie Crawley spent the past two decades living and working around the world. After learning to scuba dive and sail, she became a PADI Master Scuba Diving Instructor and a 100 ton US Coast Guard Boat Captain. She was named an SSI 5000 Platinum Pro Diver and inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame in 2010. Annie Crawley specializes in the Underwater Realm as an underwater photographer, filmmaker, field biologist and Ocean expert. As a producer, Annie Crawley created an award winning series of children’s ocean books, DVDs and lesson plans after being awarded four grants from the Save Our Seas Foundation. She has traveled and documented expeditions around the world including the SEAPLEX expedition with Project Kaisei to The North Pacific Gyre, more commonly known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Ocean Life Book and DVD published by Reader’s Digest Children’s Publishing, Annie Crawley’s first publication, has sold more than 100,000 copies.  Dive Into Your Imagination under Annie’s leadership will be releasing another series of programs on ocean education and leadership including books, teacher/parent lesson plans and DVDS to change the way a new generation views the ocean, themselves and our environment.

Because of Annie Crawley’s success following her dreams, she relates the lessons learned growing up and traveling in a way that will empower, inspire and motivate any audience to go beyond what they believe they are capable.  Annie Crawley believes in the principals of Conscious Leadership and that we have the power to create our lives.

Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do, than the ones you did. So throw off the bow lines, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. Mark Twain said that and he was right! What will you do with your moment in time? You get to create your life! Who are you and what dreams do you have stirring inside of you? It is time to explore and discover who you are!” Annie Crawley
