Filmmaker and educator films the “REAL” Nemo and SpongeBob and encourages children to dive into their imagination
Santa Barbara, Calif. - Annie Crawley’s job is a long way away from the Chicago neighborhood she grew up in, but it is her passion to bring her work home to kids back home and around the world.
Annie, a filmmaker and resident of Santa Barbara, also considers herself an “ocean environ-educator” and wants children everywhere to experience the beauty and magic of the real ocean creatures.
Annie has been on a motivational speaking tour since February 2007. She dresses up in her wetsuit, snorkel, and fins and presents to children and their parents, teachers, and grandparents. Annie’s messages include those of environmental protection, ocean facts and fiction, plus inspiration for everyone to Dive Into Your Imagination®!
Annie will be showing clips and excerpts from her newly created series, Dive Into Your Imagination®. This series is a trilogy of DVDs to entertain and educate children and their parents about the amazing natural world in the ocean. The DVDs are all bilingual and you can choose English or Spanish narration or a special track featuring the original score, composed by Craig Dobbin. In the special features section you can view the entire script and read to your children or have your children read to you! The DVD also features, The Ocean Song, a music video written by Annie, composed by Craig and sung by singer/songwriter Shawn Thies! “We want children everywhere to be singing Dive Into Your Imagination with me!”
