Dive Into Your Imagination

Hi! My name is Mat Broughton but everyone calls me MatieB. I work with Dive Into Your Imagination, and get to live my dreams every day because we are working on building a company that shares the ocean with everyone. When I was a kid my dad was a scuba diver and one day he let me breathe off his tank and regulator in our bathtub. Ever since that day I dreamt of being a fish and getting to breath underwater! Seriously, I wanted to be a fish! It’s funny how we forget about our dreams sometimes, but a few years ago, my dreams came true.

I chose to attend Brooks Institute of Photography, one of the best photography institutes in the world because they had an underwater photography program. I learned how to scuba dive so I could learn to shoot underwater video. While I was going to school, I started interning with Annie at Dive Into Your Imagination. I worked hard and dedicated myself to learning. When I graduated, Annie hired me and I realize I am still doing homework! The difference is my homework is the homework of my life, as now I get to work with Annie and the Dive Into Your Imagination team on a daily basis. We all know that we protect what we love, and I love the ocean, so it is our goal to educate and inspire others to dive into their imaginations and fall in love with the ocean! We realize that perhaps only 1% of the population gets to scuba dive, but it is our mission to get everyone excited about what lies beneath the sea.

I travel the world everyday when I edit videos in our office. Right now we are planning our schedule to travel the world as we create awe inspiring photos and award winning films with the hope that we change the world and inspire others to help protect our seas. I love what I do and wouldn’t trade it for the world. So join me and the Dive Into Your Imaginationn team on our next big adventure. Who knows where the ocean will take us…
